Die Künstlerin Sophie Musoyan (*Gavar, Armenien) war von Anfang Mai bis Mitte Juli in Basel und hat im druckwerk print and art, Werkraum Warteck pp gearbeitet.
Sophie Musoyan war Assistentin der laufenden Projekte des Druckwerks und erarbeitete gleichzeitig eigenständige druckgrafische Arbeiten. Sie konnte in dieser Zeit an zahlreichen Projekten des Druckwerks mitmachen.
Vom 1. bis 12. Juli 2026 war Sophie Teil von Edition/Basel 2026 und arbeitete künstlerisch zusammen mit vierzehn internationalen Künstler:innen.
Am Juni 25. hat die Künstlerin Sophie Musoyan Einblicke in ihren Arbeitsprozess gegeben. In ihrer künstlerischen Praxis untersucht sie die Schnittstelle zwischen Papermaking und Druckgrafik, wobei ein besonderer Schwerpunkt auf der Verwendung lokal angebauter Pflanzenfasern für die Papierherstellung liegt. Derzeit absolviert sie ein Praktikum im druckwerk.

The artist Sophie Musoyan (born in Gavar, Armenia) was in Basel from early May through mid-July and worked at druckwerk print and art, Werkraum Warteck pp.
Sophie Musoyan served as an assistant on druckwerk’s ongoing projects and simultaneously created her own printmaking works. During this time, she was able to participate in numerous druckwerk projects.
From July 1 to 12, 2026, Sophie took part in Edition/Basel 2026 and collaborated artistically with fourteen international artists.
On the 2th of June, artist Sophie Musoyan shared insights into her process. Her artistic practice explores the intersection of papermaking and printmaking, with a particular focus on the use of locally cultivated plant fibers for paper production. She is currently completing an internship at druckwerk.
